“Cooking Well with Diabetes” is designed to help not only the person with diabetes but also anyone who prepares food for those with diabetes. The cooking school consists of four, two-hour classes. Each class will have a discussion topic lead by a diabetes expert along with a cooking show demonstrating appropriate recipes. You will enjoy delicious samples and receive copies of all recipes. Bring a snack so you may stay on your meal plan. Bottled water will be provided. Fee is $15 per person or $25 per couple for the series.

Texas Watershed Steward Workshop

The workshop will provide an overview of water quality and watershed management in Texas, including a discussion on the Lavon Lake watershed and efforts by the North Texas Municipal Water District and area residents to improve and protect it. Annual Chili Cookoff and Silent Auction

Want to help support local 4-H clubs? Enjoy eating or cooking chili? This is the event for you! Come on by and sample different chili recipes, talk to extension agents about 4-H opportunities, or even bring your grandma's winning chili recipe and test it against others in the community.
